This is the end tree of an avenue of mangos in the median strip of Macrossan Str., Halifax planted in 1886 when the township was officially declared. There are now nine trees in the avenue in the main commercial center. The mango avenue is now Heritage listed. One of the trees in this avenue is called the “Tree of Knowledge”. |
